These ideals are upheld by Zant who utilizes his dark magic to try and consume all of Hyrule into the Twilight Re

The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild _ is coming up soon, scheduled to arrive in May 2023, and since Tears of the Kingdom _ takes place in the same world as BOTW , it is natural to contemplate which characters will be making return appearances. In addition to colorful background characters such as the local business tycoon Beedle, there are many faces familiar to the Hyrule Kingdom that players can expect to see in this upcoming adventure. Some may be obvious, while others will undoubtedly surprise play

Part of what has made the Legend of Zelda series so enduring is its many strong characters. Link has always remained the series’ star, and while he’s proven to be a consistently strong protagonist, it’s high time that another beloved character had the spotlight. There are plenty of other characters whose combination of interesting storyline potential and intriguing Musou Combat styles would shake things up in innovative ways. As players replay Zelda games before Tears of the Kingdom releases, they will likely even come across more strong candidates for other main characters not listed here. While these **Legend of Zelda ** characters may never get their time in the sun, their potential is a testament to the series’ well-crafted charact

The reincarnated version of the eponymous Princess Zelda Tetra could easily lead a game herself. She is considered by many to be the LoZ ‘s series’ best version of Zelda , and alongside her loyal pirate crew could tell an amazing seafaring adventure tale. A game of her own could dive into Tetra’s backstory and give interesting new lore for the world — she became captain after her mother died, but other than that not much is known about her origins, family history, or how she assembled her crew. Whether the game was simply about seafaring and plundering or pitting Tetra against the forces of evil herself, she’s a great candidate for a Legend of Zelda protagon

The glider’s reveal confirmed the popular TOTK fan theory that Link would have some form of flying mount to navigate the various floating islands, similar to Skyward Sword ‘s Loftwings. Unlike a Loftwing, however, players may not be able to truly fly with the mechanical glider, as it has no obvious means of self-propulsion. It could be that they’ll only be able to glide with it as a floating platform, giving it a similar purpose to the regular glider but presumably without the cost of consuming stamina. It appears that it will be extremely useful for exploring Hyrule — especially its floating islands — and could be of help in solving some _The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom _ puzzles, but may have little to no function in com

The long-running **Legend of Zelda ** series has seen many entries, but never another protagonist besides Link. While there have been brief instances within games where players have had the chance to play as another character, Link has always been an integral part of each title. In the many stories told by the games over time, however, several other characters have been introduced who could serve as worthy video game protagonists besides Link thanks to their interesting narrative potential and new manners of combat when that could switch things up for the bet

These are two sets of different dragons and are very different from each other apart from representing the element of their region. Skyward Sword ‘s trio aids Link by teaching him the Song of the Hero. Whereas the Breath of the Wild trio flies over Hyrule damaging anyone that comes too near, though striking a certain part of the dragon will give Link a useful item to strengthen his g

The Gerudo are an (almost) all-female race. They are a desert people, warriors similar in many ways to the Aiel from the Wheel of Time . There are other new items for Link to use, such as a large device that shoots flames, but this looks like a temporary weapon and not something that he will have access to all the time. Though it’s not confirmed, it would appear that at least some of Link’s powers comes from his new arm, which could mean that it will serve a purpose similar to BOTW ‘s Sheikah Slate. This arm has been a subject of great interest since it was first revealed, and from what’s been shown so far, it will have no small amount of importance to both story and gamep

There are a great many side quests that players probably miss in BOTW unless they’re actively seeking them out, and some stand out as worse than most. » The Stolen Heirloom » and » The Thunder Helm ,» for example, both require players to finish multiple other side quests before they can be completed. » Zora Stone Monuments » involves hunting down hard-to-find stone tablets scattered across Zora’s Domain. Missing in Action has a quest giver that’s very easy to overlook and sees players going up and down the cliffs of the Koukot Plateau canyon. » Under a Red Moon » is a particularly hard quest to complete, as players need to travel to a remote area to talk to Kass, then stand on a platform under a rare Blood Moon with nothing equipped. There are also others such as Rushroom Rush that require a great deal of farming in order to get materials that players may want to put towards other purpo
