NetEase Games Preview: Marvel Rivals, Once Human, FragPunk, and Rusty Rabbit

<br>They aren’t ordinary zombies, though. During my 15 hours with the game, I’ve fought zombies with lanterns for heads, zombie demons enshrouded in tarpaulins that act as armor, zombies that spit at you, floating zombie bugs, a giant zombie boss with balloons for a head (pop the balloons one by one to take it down), and regular old humanoid zombies that are somehow the most terrifying of all. There’s an impressive level of mob variety in this game, and each area I unlock seems to have more and m<br><br> <br>Players can earn XP and level up from running (or riding) around the map completing the main story, taking on side missions, finding fuel for their vehicles , or just checking out all the loot the world has to of<br><br> <br>The gear and weapon chests in this POI can give equipment including weapons and armor that are appropriate for new players as well. Higher-level players looking for a good acid farm should avoid low-level POIs such as Brookham, Oncehumanbase.Com for two reasons. Firstly, the enemies drop less acid, and secondly, low-level players need to kill these enemies for quests, so high-level players killing them all is a little unf<br><br> <br>After fighting off these enemies, we ran into another SGF player who was checking the game out. We formed a party, and the devs took us to face a boss. This is where Once Human ‘s combat shined. The huge enemy was super dangerous, constantly forcing us to delve into cover and wait for the barrages to end. It would sometimes pop up to the top of the arena and let loose a dangerous flurry of bullets. Like enemies and their unique weapons from beforehand, it would sometimes drop a massive heavy machine gun we could then steal and unload on it with. At the same time, it would frequently summon adds to split our attention. The boss combat was a lot of fun that we went a little over time (we couldn’t just end with it nearly dead!), but the boss combat put the exclamation point on this d<br><br> <br>When the second Ice Age came, humanity left the world to its next apex creature — rabbits. The tale of Peter the Rabbit was interpreted in new ways, as the rabbits worked their way to the surface and built a new society. Of course, any post-apocalyptic game is going to have ne’er-do-well bandits, and in Rusty Rabbit , that’s the BBs the players are part of (BB being used for comedic effect because no two rabbits could agree on what it meant). Either way, the protagonist, Stamp, is an old and grumpy man who is estranged from his daughter. That ties into him joining the BBs in their quest to explore Smokestack Mountain, an ancient structure that humans would use to send supplies into sp<br><br> <br>Summer Game Fest’s Play Days events had games from all walks of life, representing practically every genre out there. NetEase is a good example of this because the company came with Marvel Rivals , Once Human , FragPunk , and Rusty Rabbit , and Game Rant was able to spend a little time with each of these ga<br><br> <br>For players who want to be able to farm acid at the same time as farming high-level loot, weapons, and armor, there is no better location in Once Human than the Foresaken Monolith. This is a large POI that is crawling with deviations. Stock up on ammo and activators before farming this POI, as many of the enemies are bullet sponges, and it is easy to be targeted by flying enemies and take damage before even realizing there is an enemy there. Overall, this is a one-stop shop for loot and materials, but it is limited to high-level, well-geared play<br><br> <br>For players around level 30, Greywater Industrial Zone is the best place to farm acid in the game. And just as importantly, it provides loot that a mid-level player is going to need to complete some of their journey tasks as w<br><br> <br>This isn’t an acid farming location, the value of this POI is the fact that it is a great source of Automatic Parts , and also has a great many loot crates, including gear and weapon crates that give end-game, high-level loot, weapons, and ar<br><br> <br>It’s clear that the developers have thought of this with a similar design ethos to Rust and DayZ. Rust has seasonal wipes that constantly level the playing field, which is great for new and returning players alike. But in Rust everything is so temporary. In Once Human, it really feels like you make a mark on the world — you can decorate your house with bookcases, collect Pokemon, form alliances and groups. There’s a lot more effort involved here than in games like Rust. Resetting all your hardwork back to square one is an instant vibe-killer for me. Some players will love it. Others will hate<br><br> <br>As a polluted POI, it does have a pretty nasty boss wandering around, so low-level players would be better off farming one of the two POIs that were covered in a previous section. For players up to around level 35, this POI is still worth farming, as the player will not have gained access to tier 5 weapons and gear yet, making the more advanced POIs a little tough to farm without spending a fortune on materials for ammo and activat<br>
