Гость
Scale Mail +2 (16 AC + DEX, Medium Armour, Rare): Its Disadvantage on Stealth can make it rather hassling to wear for ambushers, but a proud Bard wouldn’t mind given its +1 Initiative and -1 Slashing Damage Taken. Not to mention, an ideally-built Bard will instantly get 18 AC from this armour, as though they’re wearing Heavy Armour. In tougher battles close to Act 3, this gear can become an indispensable part of their arsenal.

The Oath of Devotion Paladin is fairly stat-hungry if players want to take full advantage of Sacred Weapon, so it doesn’t pair very well with most other classes when compared to the other Paladin Subclasses. When it comes to gear, players will likely want to use a one-handed weapon and a shield, tanking for the Party and keeping enemy attention. The Blood of Lathander legendary Mace is a fantastic choice that will remain relevant for most of the game, and can be found towards the end of Act 1.

There is an entire set of equipment tailor-made to suit an Oathbreaker Paladin, known as the Blackguard Set. These consist of the Blackguard’s Plate, Gauntlets, Greaves, and Sword, along with the Shield of the Unjust. These provide an assortment of bonuses including an extra first level spell slot to dish out Divine Smites and advantage on Wisdom Saving throws. These items cannot be found until Act 3, however, so until then players should grab the Paladin-specific items mentioned in the section on the Oath of Vengeance Paladin.

The Wildheart Subclass, likely a reimagining of the Totem Warrior from D&D 5e Tabletop, chooses a Bestial Heart at level three. Each Bestial Heart offers different bonus effects while the Barbarian is raging, along with access to a special action while raging, as the table below shows:

However, depending on how you like to play your Druid, the Outlander background might feel more fitting. This background grants proficiency in Athletics and Survival instead of Animal Handling and Survival, and Athletics can be very useful in combat.

There are a total of 12 classes that players will be able to pick from in the full version of Baldur’s Gate 3 Secrets Gate 3 , including the multi-faceted Druid Class. There are three subclasses, or Circles, for players to choose from, being the Circle of the Moon, the Circle of the Land, and the Circle of Spores.

While the Blood of Lathander remains an ideal weapon for the Devotion Paladin, this is a good time to pick up a better shield. Viconia’s Walking Fortress, a legendary shield wielded by Viconia DeVir during the quest «Daughter of Darkness», is a truly stunning option for a tanky Paladin. It grants advantage on all saving throws against spells, gives all spell attack rolls against you disadvantage, and allows you to blast enemies who strike you back with a wave of force. On top of all this, it also allows you to cast Warding Bond once per long rest and the unique «Reflective Shell» once per short rest. Reflective Shell returns all projectiles to their point of origin for 2 turns, and is activated as a bonus action.

Your choice of Cleric subclass can be changed by speaking with Withers, but you will start at Level 1 and have to make your BG3 Cleric build from scratch. Though this chart displays information for all subclasses, if you want to make best Cleric build BG3 has to offer, you should go for the Life Domain.
At level 3, Duergar get the ability to Enlarge themselves, altering their Strength stat and direct weapon damage. At Level 5, Duergar gain the ability to cast Invisibility as a racial ability. However, unlike many limited-use abilities, Duergar can cast Invisibility on themselves at will when out of combat, though it can only be used once per long rest in combat.

Baldur’s Gate 3 ‘s Barbarian Class is focused on strength and durability first and foremost, with access to the highest base HP of any class alongside abilities like Rage to allow them to withstand incoming damage and dish out a ton of damage themselves. Each of the Barbarian’s subclasses are focused on how they fight and any additional power sources that fuel their rage. The Berserker replaces Rage with Frenzy for greater offensive benefits, the Wildheart takes primal animal aspects to gain additional powers while raging, and the Wild Magic Barbarian wields chaotic magic to strengthen their rage and fortify their body. Barbarians choose their subclass when they reach level three.

In Baldur’s Gate 3 , a Paladin is a warrior empowered by their adherence to a sacred oath. Be it to protect the innocent as a Knight in Shining Armor, upholding the ideals of protecting Life and Nature, or commitment to Justice and Retribution, the Paladin is defined by their Oath in many ways. Each Oath serves both gameplay and narrative purpose, with Paladins who break their Oath during gameplay becoming a different subclass known as the «Oathbreaker.»

Updated on the 25th of April, 2024, by Thomas Hawkins: With the release of Baldur’s Gate 3’s long-awaited Patch 8, every class has gained a new subclass. In the case of the Barbarian class, they may now choose the Path of Giants subclass, allowing them to channel the elemental strength of giants to grow in size and throw their enemies around in various ways. They may also empower their weapons with elemental damage and the thrown property, allowing them to easily hurl greatswords and other two-handed weapons. This guide has been updated to discuss the new subclass, multiclassing options that pair well with it, and equipment that works particularly well with this subclass.
