Гость
Compared to the more straightforward Chain Mail Armour players can find in their Baldur’s Gate 3 gameplay, the Chain Mail +2 isn’t just a decent upgrade with its AC 18 provision but also a rather visual level-up with its more regal appearance . Compared to the rather mundane link of chains in the original armour type, the Chain Mail +2 enjoys a default steel on blue robes color scheme, with a decorative tabard with accents on top and a single pauldron on the right side, giving a much-needed stylistic «oomph» to the wea

Goolocks also get the spell options «Dissonant Whispers» and «Tasha’s Hideous Laughter» at level 1. The former allows them to inflict psychic damage and frighten a foe, while the latter can leave a foe helplessly laughing on the ground for up to ten rounds. They gain the spells «Detect Thoughts» and «Phantasmal Force» at level three, allowing them to read minds without relying on the Mindflayer Tadpole and inflict psychic damage whose damage type changes to match the last attack that hit the target and occurs every turn for ten turns. At level five, they can get «Bestow Curse» and «Slow,» which offer them a huge range of debuff options for Going Here dealing with strong foes.

They gain one new spell at level four and then get one more at level seven. They also gain two second-level spells at level seven, further strengthening their spellcasting and offering them access to more potent spells. Level seven is also where Eldritch Knights get «War Magic,» allowing them to cast a cantrip and then make a melee attack as a bonus action.

The Thief Rogue build is based on the Thief subclass that grants an additional Bonus Action in combat, which is ridiculously useful for getting into and out of stealth . Considering how completely busted Stealth is in Baldur’s Gate 3 , even with the chances from Early Access, Thief Rogues are sure to dominate damage-wise.

In addition to Armor, Weapon, and Saving Throw proficiencies that vary for each class, the pool of Skills you can choose from are different for each class. These cannot be changed once you get past character creation without resetting your build.

At level six, a Goolock gains the ability «Entropic Ward,» allowing them to impose a disadvantage on an incoming attack as a reaction. Should that attack miss, they then gain an advantage on their next attack against the failed attacker. This can be used once per short rest.

The Folk Hero background can be useful for Clerics because it gives proficiencies to the Animal Handling and Survival skills, both of which rely on the Cleric’s main stat Wisdom. Animal Handling and Survival are both skills that the Cleric typically doesn’t have access to at character creation for its starting proficiencies, too, and can be useful additions to the class.

Druids gain several Wild Shape options as they level up, and Circle of the Moon builds get even more . For the first five levels as a Druid, the best Wild Shape transformation is the Bear, then the Raven. But at Level 6, Druids learn how to transform into an Owlbear, which is the most powerful Wild Shape form for the rest of the game.

The Folk Hero background grants proficiency in Animal Handling and Survival, and will trigger Inspiration for your character naturally as a Druid. Being a Folk hero provides the most RP opportunities and Inspiration possibilities as a Circle of the Moon druid because it just requires players to do things most good-aligned Druids would do, like help animals, save others, and explore the wilderness.

If you are dead set on including a character in your party, simply talk to Withers to respec them to one of the optimal Cleric companion classes listed above. This way, you won’t miss out on that character’s questline, and you won’t have to suffer from an improperly balanced party.

The Champion subclass allows the Fighter to get a handful of simple abilities that make them better at fighting and feats of strength. This begins with «Improved Critical Hit» at level three. This reduces the number a fighter must roll on their attack roll to land a critical hit by 1. In essence, landing critical hits becomes easier. This can stack with other effects that reduce the target number for critical hits, potentially enabling the Champion to become a critical hit monster.

Outside of this, players could also use Eldritch Knight as their subclass when planning to multiclass heavily into other spellcasting classes, taking spells that are defensive in nature or otherwise require no attack roll or saving throw to be effective. This allows players to remain at low intelligence and still benefit from the Eldritch Knight spells they choose, freeing up those points to spend on stats that benefit their chosen spellcasting class.

Where multiclassing is concerned, Warlock pairs excellently with the other Charisma Caster classes: Paladin, Bard, and Sorcerer. A Paladin with Pact of the Blade can dump their strength stat entirely and focus on Charisma, gaining better spellcasting with no loss in their melee combat capabilities, while also using the Warlock’s spell slots (which recharge on a short rest) to dish out Divine Smites more often. Access to Metamagic from the Sorcerer can allow some incredibly busted combos through the use of quickened spell and distant spell, including the ability to rapid-fire 6 eldritch blasts in a single turn at level 10. Bards with the College of Swords subclass can make excellent use of the Pact of the Blade to reduce the number of attributes they need to worry about, while also gaining access to a much wider range of damage and support spells from the Bard spell list and Magical Secrets.
