I’d like to go back to what I mentioned at the beginning of this piece. A month and a bit into Genshin and I’m still signing in on the regular. I’m dying for another Elemental Crucible-esque event where I can partner with random players and boot around some hilichurls in all-out cooperative mayhem. I know I can play the rest of the game in co-op, but again — I like the single-player parts being single-player. That’s a great thing about Genshin — it recognizes that balance between experiencing a story on your own and exploring the world around it with other people. I think that would be great for Fable in particular — maybe Bowerstone is an MMO-esque hub where you can flick a switch and all of a sudden, boom! Marketplace, flog your trinkets and bullshit for coin, the more you rip people off the better. Flick the switch back and all of a sudden, boom! NPCs are the only people bothering you, and you can just ignore them if you w

Fable has an added layer of depth to it that many other similar RPGs didn’t at the time: its morality system. In reality, the morality system at play here really only comes down to your character creation Systems becoming good or evil, with some gray area in between. While it might not be as nuanced as the system employed in the Mass Effect series, Fable wants you to think about how your actions affect the world of Albion and its inhabita

News of a Switch port of Warhorse Studios’ popular action RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance will have pleased some, but it’s far from the sequel announcement that many had been hoping for. Rumors of a new Kingdom Come game have been floating around for a while now and intensified in the week leading up to E3 following a tease by Koch Me

While Bug Fables’ post-game content is not as robust as some other RPGs, it is supplemented by a large amount of side content that most players may have missed as they pursued the story. Critics seem to agree, with Joanna’s debut outing just edging out the Bond classic by a single point on Metacritic . With that in mind, when rumors of a Perfect Dark reboot began circulating back in 2018, excitement levels were fairly high among the gaming commun

The bounties all lead to optional bosses. In true RPG fashion, these encounters are typically tougher than the ones Team Snakemouth had to undertake in the main story. There’s big next-gen competitors on the way that the old school Fable will have to stand up to. Obsidian Entertainment, often acknowledged as a master of RPGs, has Avowed coming to Microsoft platforms down the line. Elden Ring is sure to be another competitor to Fable whenever it releases, drawing in fantasy fans who prefer darker tones. As much as the Fable IP deserves a comeback, the near future is also a difficult time for it to do so. One of the best ways it can undercut these competitors is by coming out ahead of them if possi

Combining the greatest detectives in two different worlds is an exciting promise of its own, with Batman vs. Bigby! A Wolf in Gotham #1 releasing in September under DC Black Label. But since word of the confirmation first dropped, fans have had one question: is this return of Fables one last adventure… or a sign that creator Bill Willingham is bringing the series back for good? To find out what this return means for both the creators and the readers, Screen Rant was fortunate enough to speak with Willingham directly. Readers can enjoy his insights into delivering the detective story he dared dream might be possible, picking up the Fables series with original artist Mark Buckingham, and what this new 12-issue story means for the future of Fables in our full interview be

Bill Willingham: I certainly hope that the excitement is there for Fables readers, new and old, and yes, I have quite a bit of excitement too. My part of the new Fables story is already done. All twelve of the new issues have been written, so I am already past the «can I do this?» stage. Despite that, Fable ‘s situation is still completely different from that of The Elder Scrolls. Nobody has been producing endless content for the franchise to keep fans sated in the meantime. While there’s all kinds of Elder Scrolls games to play right now, there’s really no new Fable content for fans to enjoy right now. That’s what makes the long wait ahead of Elder Scrolls 6 more bearable while simultaneously framing how important it is that the Fable reboot comes out s
